49ers ILB Patrick Willis is undergoing an MRI on his injured groin Monday, via CSN Bay Area.
Willis is not expected to be available for Thursday night’s game against the Rams, although the team has yet to completely rule him out.
Meanwhile, CB Nnamdi Asomugha is also undergoing an MRI Monday on his right knee. Asomugha was hurt as he was trying to make a play on Colts RB Ahmad Bradshaw.
49ers will monitor TE Vernon Davis’ condition in the days leading up to Thursday’s game. HC Jim Harbaugh mentioned that it is not known whether or not he’ll be available to play in Week 4.
