49ers Place C Daniel Kilgore On I.R. & Promote OL Alex Balducci To Active Roster

The San Francisco 49ers announced that they’ve placed C Daniel Kilgore on injured reserve and promote OL Alex Balducci to their active roster.

  • The 49ers also signed OT Mitchell Van Dyk to their practice squad.

Kilgore, 28, is a former fifth-round pick of the 49ers back in 2011. He’s currently in the third year of his four-year, $6.045 million contract and stands to make base salaries of $900,000 and $1 million over the final two years of the agreement.

In 2016, Kilgore appeared in 13 games for the 49ers.

Van Dyk, 25, is a former seventh-round pick of the Rams back in 2014. He lasted just a few months with the Rams before he was waived at the start of the 2014 season.

The Steelers later signed him to a future/reserve contract at the end of the year. Unfortunately, he was waived with the injury designation coming out of the preseason last year and officially waived a few days after this year’s draft.

Van Dyk later caught on with the Colts but wound up being among their final roster cuts.

He has yet to appeared in an NFL game.
