49ers HC Kyle Shanahan announced Friday that RT Trent Brown is being placed on season-ending injured reserve with a shoulder injury, per Cam Inman.
Brown, 24, is a former seventh-round pick of the 49ers back in 2015. He’s currently in the third year of his four-year, $2.28 million contract and stands to make a base salary of $705,000 for the 2018 season.
In 2017, Brown appeared in 10 games for the 49ers and is rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 19 offensive tackle out of 81 qualifying players.
