The San Francisco 49ers announced Wednesday that they’ve promoted LB Shayne Skov to their active roster.
- The 49ers also placed LB Ray Ray Armstrong on injured reserve with a pectoral injury.
Skov, 26, signed on with the 49ers as an undrafted free agent out of Stanford last year. He had a brief stint with the Buccaneers but has spent the majority of his NFL career on and off of the 49ers’ active roster.
San Francisco elected to cut Skov loose coming out the preseason but later added him to their practice squad at the start of the regular season.
In 2015, Skov has appeared in 15 games and recorded four tackles for the 49ers.
