49ers Re-Sign RB DuJuan Harris, Waive WR Chris Harper

The San Francisco 49ers announced Tuesday that they’ve re-signed RB DuJuan Harris and waived WR Chris Harper.

This comes just a day after the 49ers promoted Harper in time for their Monday night game and cut Harris, so they’re just swapping out players again.

Harris, 28, originally signed on with the Jaguars as an undrafted free agent free agent out of Troy back in 2011. He was later claimed off of waivers by the Steelers before catching on with the Packers in October of 2012.

After a few years in Green Bay, Harris has had brief stints with the Vikings and Saints before joining the Seahawks’ practice squad a few weeks ago.

Seattle cut him loose towards the end of last year, but he later signed on to the Ravens’ practice squad. It was soon after that he was signed to the 49ers’ active roster.

The 49ers cut Harris a few weeks ago before re-signing him last week.

In 2015, Harris has appeared in four games and ran for 189 yards on 48 carries (3.9 YPC) and lost a fumble.
