49ers Re-Sign TE Derek Carrier To A Two-Year Extension

Matt Maiocco of CSN Bay Area reports that the 49ers have re-signed TE Derek Carrier to a two-year contract extension.

  • According to Maiocco, the contract is worth up to $3.3 million.

Carrier, 24, would have been a restricted free agent next offseason. Last year, he appeared in 11 games for the 49ers and caught nine passes for 105 yards receiving and no touchdowns.

He’ll obviously have to compete for playing time with Vernon Davis and Vance McDonald
