49ers Re-Signed CB Chris Cook To A One-Year Deal

Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post reports that the 49ers are re-signing CB Chris Cook to a one-year deal.

Matt Maiocco reported earlier in the day that the 49ers had spoken to Cook about returning, but they hadn’t had any recent conversations.

It looks like things changed after they lost Chris Culliver and Perrish Cox to the Redskins and Titans respectively.

The 49ers also signed CB Shareece Wright to a one-year, $3 million contract, but it wouldn’t be surprising to see them add some more help in the draft.

Cook, 28, signed a one-year, $730,000 contract with the 49ers back in March of last year.

In 2014, he was limited to appearing in just six games and recorded six tackles and a pass defense for San Francisco. Pro Football Focus has him down for playing a total of 48 snaps the entire season.
