49ers Re-Signed QB Blaine Gabbert To Two-Year, $2M Deal

A source tells Josina Anderson that free agent QB Blaine Gabbert is “staying in San Francisco.”

  • Chris Mortensen reports that the Gabbert receives a two-year deal worth $2 million.

Gabbert, 25, was taken in the first-round of the 2011 draft and hasn’t come anywhere close to living up to his draft status.

The 49ers acquired Gabbert in a deal for a 2014 sixth-round pick that later became Luke Bowanko.

In 2014, Gabbert appeared in one game and threw for 38 yards while completing three of seven passing attempts to go along with a touchdown and no picks.
