ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the 49ers have reached agreement with veteran RB Reggie Bush.

Bush recently visited with the Patriots, but wound up leaving without an offer. The 49ers brought him in for a meeting last week, so it appears as though Bush was unable to best their offer.

San Francisco could have an interesting tandem of running backs next year with Bush and Carlos Hyde handling the workload.

Bush, 29, ran for 297 yards on 76 carries (3.9 YPC) to go along with 40 receptions for 253 yards receiving and two total touchdowns over the course of 11 games for the Lions last season.

Pro Football Focus has Bush rated as the No. 14 running back in the league last year out of 57 qualifying players.
