The San Francisco 49ers are releasing veteran TE Logan Paulsen on Sunday, according to Brad Biggs.

  • According to Matt Barrows, the 49ers plan to bring back Paulsen once Ronald Blair (thumb) goes on injured reserve.

Paulsen, 29, signed on with the Redskins as an undrafted free agent out of UCLA back in 2012. Washington re-signed him to a three-year deal in 2013.

Unfortunately for Paulsen, he was placed on season-ending injured reserve at the start of the 2015 season and subsequently missed the entire year with a toe injury. The Bears signed him to a one-year contract last year.

San Francisco signed him to a contract this past March.

In 2016, Paulsen appeared in all 16 games for the Bears and caught three passes for 15 yards receiving.
