The 49ers have released veteran WR Kassim Osgood on Wednesday in order to make room for S Raymond Ventrone, according to Matt Barrows.
- San Francisco signed Ventrone to a contract last night.
Osgood, 34, re-signed with the 49ers back in March, but he was unfortunately one of the team’s roster cuts over a month ago. San Francisco re-signed him last month.
He appeared in 14 games for the 49ers last season, but totaled just one reception for 17 yards last year while also contributing on special teams as well.
Osgood has been active for four games this season, but has totaled just two punt return yards.
