49ers Sign CB JaCorey Shepherd, Place CB Chris Davis On Injured Reserve

The San Francisco 49ers announced that they’ve signed CB JaCorey Shepherd to a contract and placed CB Chris Davis on injured reserve with a knee injury.

Shepherd, 23, was taken in the sixth-round of last year’s NFL draft by the Eagles. He signed a four-year, $2,401,112 contract with Philadelphia and was set to make a base salary of $525,000 when he was cut loose coming out of the preseason.

Last year, Shepherd, unfortunately, sustained a torn right ACL and subsequently missed the entire 2015 season.

The Eagles had signed and cut Shepherd multiple times in recent weeks.
