49ers Sign LB Shawn Lemon To A Two-Year Deal

Update:

The 49ers officially announced the signing of LB Shawn Lemon to a two-year contract.

The 49ers have signed LB Shawn Lemon to a contract on Saturday, according to Dov Kleiman.

The Stampeders released Lemon from his contract in order to allow him to pursue a career in the NFL back in January. It was just a few weeks later that the Steelers signed him to a future/reserve contract.

However, he was unfortunately waived and later placed on the team’s physically unable to perform list after going unclaimed. Pittsburgh wound up parting ways with him in recent days.

Lemon, 26, recorded 31 tackles, 13 sacks, an interception and tied the CFL single-season record with eight forced fumbles during the 2014 season.
