49ers Sign OL Garry Gilliam To Two-Year, $8M Extension

The San Francisco 49ers announced Tuesday that they’ve signed OL Garry Gilliam to a two-year contract extension through the 2019 season.

  • According to Ian Rapoport, Gilliam receives a two-year, $8 million contract with nearly $4 million guaranteed.

Gilliam, 27, wound up signing on with the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent out of Penn State back in 2014. He managed to make the 53-man roster during his rookie season and spent three years in San Francisco before signing a one-year, $2.2 million restricted offer sheet with the 49ers.

Gilliam was in line to be an unrestricted free agent in the coming weeks.

In 2017, Gilliam appeared in eight games for the 49ers and played 38 total snaps, according to Pro Football Focus before being placed on injured reserve with a knee injury in October.
