49ers Sign RB DuJuan Harris Off Ravens’ Practice Squad, Waive RB Travaris Cadet

The San Francisco 49ers announced Tuesday that they’ve signed RB DuJuan Harris off of the Ravens’ practice squad and placed RB Travaris Cadet on waivers.

Harris, 27, originally signed on with the Jaguars as an signed undrafted free agent free agent out of Troy back in 2011. He was later claimed off of waivers by the Steelers before catching on with the Packers in October of 2012.

After a few years in Green Bay, Harris has had brief stints with the Vikings and Saints before joining the Seahawks’ practice squad a few weeks ago.

Seattle cut him loose last week, but he later signed on to the Ravens’ practice squad.

This season, Harris has appeared in two games and ran for 49 yards on 21 carries (2.3 YPC) and lost a fumble.

Cadet, 26, originally signed on with the Saints as an undrafted free agent out of Appalachian State back in 2012. He spent three years in New Orleans before he was allowed to test the open market this past March.

The Patriots wound up signing him to a two-year contract worth $1.75 million contract, only to release him a few months ago.

The 49ers later signed him to a contract after they lost Carlos Hyde for the season.

This season, Cadet was active for five games and ran for 16 yards on seven carries (3.2 YPC) to go along with eight receptions for pass for 68 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
