The San Francisco 49ers officially signed RB Kendall Gaskins to a contract on Monday.
Gaskins, 25, originally signed with the Bills as an undrafted free agent out of Richmond back in 2013. He had brief stints with the Titans and Giants before signing to the 49ers’ practice squad in September of 2014.
The 49ers later signed him to a reserve/future contract at the end of the 2014 season, but he was unfortunately among their final roster cuts at the start of the season. San Francisco later signed him to their practice squad before promoting him in October.
In 2015, Gaskins appeared in nine games for the 49ers and ran for 38 yards on 16 carries (4.2 YPC) to go along with eight receptions for 69 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
