The San Francisco 49ers announced that have signed seventh-round pick FB Trey Millard to a four-year deal.
Millard was used in a variety of ways during his time at Oklahoma. That versatility made him the consensus No. 1 fullback in the 2014 NFL Draft class.
While the fullback position is devalued by many teams, San Francisco has effectively used theirs, most recently Bruce Miller. Millard has the ability to push Miller, but will likely begin by battling FB Will Tukuafu for a roster spot.
Millard posted 538 yards rushing, 677 yards receiving, and 14 total touchdowns in his college career.
