49ers Sign Six Players To Futures Deals

The San Francisco 49ers officially signed players to futures contracts on Monday for the 2019 season.

The full list includes:

  1. OT Christian DiLauro
  2. TE Marcus Lucas
  3. DB Tarvarus McFadden
  4. WR Jordan Smallwood
  5. G Najee Toran
  6. DB Terrell Williams

Futures deals are essentially camp invites that will give players the opportunity to compete for roster spots during offseason workouts and training camp.

Williams, 22, wound up signing on with the 49ers as an undrafted free agent out of Houston back in May. He signed a three-year $1.71 million contract and was set to make a base salary of $485,000 for the 2018 season.

The 49ers placed Williams on injured reserve during the preseason with a hyperextended knee and he was later waived with an injury settlement.

During his college career at Houston, Williams recorded 95 tackles, four interceptions, a fumble recovery and seven pass defenses over the course of 23 games.
