49ers Sign Three Tryout Players To Contracts, Cut Three

The San Francisco 49ers announced Monday that they’ve signed three players who tried out for the team this past weekend to contracts and parted ways with three players.

Signed

  • Boise State S Chanceller James
  • UConn OL Richard Levy
  • Georgia Southern WR B.J. Johnson

Cut:

  • WR KD Cannon (NFLTR)
  • RB DuJuan Harris (NFLTR)
  • OL Bret Treadway

It’s possible the 49ers will sign more players to contracts in near future, so we’ll add more names here as they’re available.

James wound up going undrafted out of Boise State a few weeks ago before securing a tryout with the 49ers last week.

During his three years at Boise State, James recorded 170 tackles, 10.5 tackles for a loss, two sacks, four interceptions, a fumble recovery and seven pass defenses over the course of 32 games.
