49ers Sign WR A.J. Jenkins To A Four-Year Deal

Matt Maiocco of the CSN Bay Area reports that the 49ers have “reached a deal with first-round pick A.J. Jenkins on a four-year contract.

The “four-year deal is worth $6.947 million contract and includes a $3.49 million signing bonus” as Maiocco states.

Jenkins had a rough start at 49ers OTA’s after showing up overweight and fighting to get in shape.  Maiocco mentions that recently Jenkins has turned a corner, impressing the 49ers coaching staff by “making one of the best catches of the team’s offseason program” last thursday.

Jenkins has to find a spot on the depth chart with other talented wide receivers on the 49ers roster that include WR Randy Moss, Mario Manningham, Michael Crabtree, and along with WR Ted Ginn, and Kyle Williams.
