49ers Signing LB Terence Garvin

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the 49ers are signing LB Terence Garvin to a contract on Wednesday, given that they’re dealing with some injuries at the position.

Garvin, 27, wound up signing on with the Steelers as an undrafted free agent out of West Virginia back in 2013. He returned to Pittsburgh on a one-year deal in 2015 but Pittsburgh declined to tender him a restricted offer.

Garvin later signed a one-year contract with the Redskins for the 2016 season before joining the Seahawks as an unrestricted free agent last year. The Dolphins signed Garvin to a contract in April, but released him coming out of the preseason.

In 2017, Garvin appeared in 15 games for the Seahawks and recorded 25 tackles, one sack, a forced fumble and a pass defense.
