49ers Signing QB McLeod Bethel-Thompson To Practice Squad

Adam Calpan of ESPN reports that the San Francisco 49ers are signing QB McLeod Bethel-Thompson to their practice squad on Monday.

The 49ers’ practice squad now consists of:

  1. QB McLeod Bethel-Thompson
  2. OT Donald Hawkins
  3. TE Brian Leonhardt
  4. RB Jarryd Hayne
  5. WR DiAndre Campbell
  6. DT Kaleb Ramsey (Suspended)
  7. LB Marcus Rush
  8. NT Garrison Smith
  9. QB Dylan Thompson
  10. S Jermaine Whitehead

Bethel-Thompson, 27, originally signed on with the 49ers as an undrafted free agent out of Sacramento State back in 2011. He has bounced around quite a bit since he entered the league, which includes short stints with the Dolphins, Vikings and Patriots.

Bethel-Thompson was most recently with the Dolphins, but was waived at the start of the season.

Since then, he’s worked out for the Seahawk, Jaguars and Titans, but didn’t receive an offer from either team.

He’s yet to appear in an NFL game.
