49ers TE Vernon Davis Reports To Training Camp

 

49ers S C.J. Spillman posted a video of TE Vernon Davis reporting to training camp on his Twitter account Wednesday.

There had been a lot of talk and speculation that Davis would hold out of training camp for a long-term contract, but it looks like he doesn’t plan on going this route to secure a new deal.

Davis, 30, signed a six-year, $42.705 million contract that included $23 million guaranteed. He has base salaries of $4.7 million and $4.35 million coming his way over the next two years.

Last year, Davis caught 52 passes for 850 yards receiving and scored 13 touchdowns for the 49ers. Pro Football Focus had him rated as the No. 7 tight end in the league.
