Update:

49ers veteran DL Justin Smith tells Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee that he isn’t 100 percent committed to retiring.

There has been talk that Smith could walk away from the NFL and reports mentioned that he met with new HC Jim Tomsula last week.

Smith, 35, still has one year remaining on his three-year, $16.8 million contract and would make a base salary of $2.65 million for the 2015 season.

In 2014, Smith appeared in all 16 games and recorded 43 tackles, five sacks, two forced fumbles and a recovery for the 49ers.
