49ers Waive S Malik Golden, Sign OL Andrew Lauderdale

The San Francisco 49ers announced Friday that they have signed OL Andrew Lauderdale to a two-year contract and placed S Malik Golden on waivers.

Lauderdale signed on with the Saints as an undrafted free agent out of New Hampshire last month. Unfortunately, he was waived after just a few weeks in New Orleans.

During his college career, Lauderdale appeared in 42 games and made 22 starts. He earned Third-Team All-CAA honors.

Golden, 24, wound up signing on with the 49ers as an undrafted free agent out of Penn State a few months ago.

During his college career, Golden recorded 130 tackles, 6.5 tackles for a loss, two interceptions, a forced fumble, a recovery and five pass defenses over the course of four seasons and 34 games.
