The San Francisco 49ers announced Thursday that they’ve waived/injured OL Ben Gottschalk.
- The 49ers signed WR Nigel King. (NFLTR)
Gottschalk, 23, signed on with the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent out of SMU back in May of last year. He was unable to make Kansas City’s 53-man roster coming out of the preseason, but was later added to their practice squad.
The Buccaneers signed him to a contract in early April. However, he was waived to make room for K Brandon Bogotay a few weeks ago.
Green Bay brought him in for a tryout back in June before he later signed on with the 49ers.
Gottschalk has yet to appear in an NFL game.
