According to Howard Balzer, the 49ers brought in eight free agents for tryouts on Wednesday including OT Will Beatty.
The full list of tryouts for the 49ers includes:
- OT Will Beatty
- OT Bryce Harris
- OT Cameron Jefferson
- OT Andrew Lauderdale
- OT Max Rich
- S K.J. Dillon
- S Tyvis Powell
- S Deron Washington
Of this group, the 49ers signed Harris to their active roster and added Powell to their practice squad.
Beatty has worked out for the Jets and Saints in the past few months, but has yet to receive an offer from either team.
Beatty, 32, is a former second-round pick of the Giants back in 2009. He spent all six years of his career in New York before he was released in a move that freed up $4,175,000 in available cap space for the Giants.
Beatty’s 2015 season ended when tore his pectoral muscle while working in the weight room. The Giants later re-signed him to a one-year, $1.1 million contract at the start of last season.
In 2016, Beatty appeared in seven games for the Giants.
