Colts Worked Out CB Shareece Wright, Has Interest From 7 Teams

Field Yates of ESPN reports that the Colts worked out former 49ers CB Shareece Wright on Monday.

  • Synergy Sports, the agency for Wright, announced that their client has already found interest from seven teams since the 49ers released him a few days ago.

Wright reportedly asked the 49ers to either trade him or grant him his release, which San Francisco ultimately agreed to on Saturday.

Wright, 28, signed a one-year, $3 million contract with the 49ers back in March that included another $1 million available through incentives. He was set to make a base salary of $850,000 for the 2015 season.

Wright has yet to be active for a single game this season.

In 2014, Wright appeared in 14 games and recorded 60 tackles and 10 pass defenses for the Chargers. However, he has yet to appear in a game this season.
