Redskins Promote TE Manasseh Garner To Active Roster

The Washington Redskins announced Wednesday that they’ve promoted TE Manasseh Garner to their active roster.

Garner takes the roster spot of RB Kenny Hilliard, who was placed on waivers Tuesday.

Garner, 25, originally signed on with the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent out of Pittsburgh back in May of 2015. Since then, he’s played for a number of teams including the Browns, Bills and Broncos.

The Redskins signed Garner to a contract this past May only to cut him loose coming out of the preseason and later re-signing him to their practice squad.

During his college career, Garner caught 52 passes for 637 yards receiving and five touchdowns over the course of 39 games.
