Bills Release RB Joe Banyard, Sign LB Marquavius Lewis To PS

The Buffalo Bills announced Tuesday that they’ve released RB Joe Banyard and signed LB Marquavius Lewis to their practice squad, The Bills also released LB Zach Vigil from the unit.

The Bills’ practice squad now consists of:

  1. WR Brandon Reilly
  2. G Will Pericak
  3. OT De’Ondre Wesley
  4. WR Malachi Dupre
  5. DE Eric Lee
  6. TE Ryan O’Malley
  7. C Adam Redmond
  8. S L.J. McCray
  9. DB Sammy Seamster
  10. LB Marquavius Lewis

Vigil, 26, wound up signing a three-year, $1.585 million contract with the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent out of Utah State back in 2015. He managed to make the 53-man roster in each of his two seasons in the NFL but was, unfortunately, cut loose and later claimed off of waivers by the Redskins.

After being waived coming out of the preseason, Vigil signed on to the Bills’ practice squad days before the start of the regular season.

In 2016, Vigil appeared in nine games for the Redskins and Dolphins while recording two tackles.
