A Look At The Braylon Edwards Market

The signing of Plaxico Burress has essentially ruled out a return the New York Jets so here’s a look at where things stand as of now for WR Braylon Edwards.

Gary Myers of the New York Daily News tweeted last night that the Vikings, Titans, Bears and Redskins are still in the running.

Minnesota signed WR Michael Jenkins yesterday which would lead us to believe that they’re not going to sign him unless they’re able to get him for a reasonable deal.

Chicago has gone out and signed Roy Williams which may limit their interest as well. The Bears seem content with their receiving core as head coach Lovie Smith said that they have five potential No. 1 receivers on their team this year.

Washington seems to make the most sense likely team to sign him but they maybe looking for a reasonable contract as well considering the number of free agents that they have already signed.

This is the first that we’ve heard regarding the Titans possible interest in Edwards. Kenny Britt is definitely a concern and signing another capable wide receiver could help Matt Hasselbeck out in his first year with the team.
