Adrian Peterson Could Miss Multiple Weeks With Sprained Ankle?

Pro Football Talk reports that a league source has informed them that Vikings RB Adrian Peterson will miss “at least” one game after suffering a high ankle sprain during Sunday’s loss to the Oakland Raiders.

Vikings head coach Leslie Frazier mentioned today that he was hopeful that Peterson would be able to return to practice later in the week. Peterson’s injury is being listed as a “Grade 1” sprain and today’s MRI should that he has “some ligament damage” which points to him missing some time.

Toby Gerhart will fill in for Peterson if he misses any time. You can expect to see more updates throughout the week.
