Adrian Peterson “Impressed” During Running Drills Last Week

Tom Pelissero of ESPN 1500 Twin Cities reports that Vikings RB Adrian Peterson ran last week for Head Coach Leslie Frazier who said Peterson “did a great job,” in his workout which comes just four months after knee surgery.

Peterson tore both his ACL and MCL late in the season. He was expected to be out for 9-12 months and possibly start the season on the PUP list, but four months later, Peterson has everyone “impressed” with his recovery.

Everybody was impressed. Our trainer, Eric Sugarman, was really impressed with his movement and the things he was able to do. He’s on schedule. He’s doing well,” said Frazier.

Peterson will still need more time to get back to being 100 percent, but this is certainly an encouraging sign.

He said, ‘How fast should I go?’ We’re trying to just judge movement, and he wants to run a 4.3 40. But he has to let that graft continue to heal. He understands that there’s a time frame he’s working within, and so far, so good.
