Adrian Peterson Plans On Pushing The Vikings To Re-Sign RT Phil Loadholt

According to Ben Goessling of the St. Paul Pioneer Press, Vikings RB Adrian Peterson plans on making a push for them to keep free agent RT Phil Loadholt the team next season.

“He’s just been improving each year,” said Peterson of Loadholt. “I’m going to keep my arms around him this offseason as well, just to make sure he’s staying on top of this game.”

Loadholt, 27, is one of the 10 players on the Vikings roster who is set to become an unrestricted free agent this March. A second round pick in the 2009 draft, Loadholt has just completed his third season in which he was able to play all 16 games and, according to Pro Football Focus, was the 20th-most efficient pass blocking tackle in the league in 2012.

We have Loadholt listed as the No. 22 best available player in our Top 50 Free Agents list.
