Adrian Peterson Will Miss Week 12’s Game

Judd Zulgad reports that Vikings RB Adrian Peterson will not be able to play in Week 12’s game against the Atlanta Falcons after missing Friday’s practice.

Zulgad adds that Peterson is no longer wearing a walking boot which is a good sign but his high-ankle sprain is bad enough to keep him out on Sunday’s game.

Minnesota has already mentioned that they plan on utilizing Percy Harvin more in Peterson’s absence. Toby Gerhart will also see his playing time increase but Harvin is by far the better weapon if he can stay on the field.

At this point, Peterson figures to have a shot at playing next week considering that he’s been a fast healer in years past.
