Adrian Wilson Could Be Done In Arizona

Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic writes that Adrian Wilson‘s time with Cardinals could be coming to an end following the team’s final three games of the season.

Wilson’s playing time has been reduced in recent weeks, which has him wondering how much longer he’ll be a part of the Cardinals organization.

“It hurts,” Wilson said. “It hurts. They can give you 1,000 reasons why that is, but I know I can still play football. It’s tough right now.”

Wilson, 33, will make $2.5 million in base salary next season along with $1 million roster bonus that will be due in March. Last year, he was rated as the 2nd best safety in the league by Pro Football Focus, but his overall performance has seen a sharp decline this season. For the most part, you could argue that a good majority of team’s roster had decline, but the fact that Wilson is getting up there in age makes him a bit of a question mark moving forward.
