AFC East Notes: Dolphins, Jets, Patriots

Dolphins

Missouri QB Drew Lock told reporters that he met with the Dolphins as the Senior Bowl.

“I had no idea he was going to be in there,” Lock said, via the Palm Beach Post. “It was quite a deal. I walked in. There was a door like this. I was shaking everybody’s hand, and then was like, ‘Who’s that? Oh my god, that’s Dan Marino.’ He was over there. When I’m sitting in the chair, he’s back here (behind me) when I’m answering questions. You feel it. You really feel a presence in the room.

Jets

  • According to Connor Hughes, the Jets met with Penn State QB Trace McSorley at the Senior Bowl.
  • Hughes adds that Jets GM Mike Maccagnan spent most of his time watching the OL and DL drills during the South practice.

Patriots

Reports from last year had said that there was some tension between Patriots HC Bill Belichick and QB Tom Brady.

However, Belichick said during a radio interview that the talk is “a bunch of gossip.”

Some of these people — I have never met them, never talked to them,” Belichick said on his radio show, via Justin Leger of NBC Sports Boston. “I am not going to get into a bunch of gossip.
