AFC East Notes: Dolphins, Patriots, Josh Gordon

Dolphins

Dolphins new OC Chad O’Shea says they’re still in the process of evaluating their quarterbacks at this time.

“We’re still in the process of our evaluation of those players,” O’Shea said, via the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. “It’s an exciting part of the process to identify the players you’ll be working with.”

The expectation is that Miami will move on from Ryan Tannehill this offseason, but O’Shea said he has “tremendous respect” for Tannehill.

  • Dolphins DC Patrick Graham said they will employ both a 4-3 and 3-4 scheme this year and he will handle defensive play-calling duties. (Adam Beasley)

Josh Gordon

  • Ben Volin of the Boston Globe believes WR Josh Gordon will be back with the Patriots if he’s reinstated by the NFL.
  • Volin notes that NESN retracted the part of their report about the Patriots paying for Gordon’s rehab, and instead mentions that it’s being paid by the NFLPA.
