AFC Notes: Bengals, Browns, Jets, Titans

Bengals

  • The Cincinnati Bengals announced Thursday that they’ve officially hired former Cowboys OL coach Frank Pollack as their offensive line coach.

Browns

  • The Browns have signed former Giants WRs coach Adam Henry to a three-year deal. (Ian Rapoport)
  • Cleveland plans to move Al Saunders into a senior advisory role. (Nate Ulrich)

Jets

  • Rich Cimini of ESPN writes that QB Bryce Petty “probably is a goner” this offseason.
  • Cimini says that Christian Hackenberg could still be the team’s backup quarterback next year, but he won’t be in the mix to start.
  • Cimini expects the Jets to add at least two quarterbacks, which could turn out to be re-signing Josh McCown and draft a prospect.
  • According to Cimini, veteran RB Matt Forte‘sday are numbered” and the Jets will likely want to create more opportunities for younger backs.
  • Cimini says there’s at least a chance New York could consider releasing WR Jermaine Kearse, given that he carries a $5 million cap hit and they could re-sign RFA Quincy Enunwa.
  • As for free agent TE Austin Seferian-Jenkins, Cimini says that the Jets are interested in re-signing him, but “won’t go crazy to keep him.”
  • Some cap casualties to watch for the Jets include OT Ben Ijalana, G James Carpenter and DL Muhammad Wilkerson.
  • Per Cimini, the Jets are interested in re-signing CB Morris Claiborne and LB Demario Davis.

Titans

  • Cameron Wolfe of ESPN writes that there’s a “decent chance” veteran RB DeMarco Murray may have played his final snap with the Titans.
  • Wolfe believes it’s time for Tennessee to hand the feature back role to Derrick Henry.
  • If the Titans were to release Murray in the coming months, they wouldn’t incur any dead money and would pick up $6.5 million of cap room.
