AFC Notes: Bengals, Browns, Patriots, Ravens

Bengals

Browns

  • Jay Glazer reports that the Browns are currently doing their due diligence and making an awful lot of back-channel calls about potential candidates, despite their on-the-field success.

Patriots

  • According to Jay Glazer of the Athletic, Patriots WR Josh Gordon tested positive for a substance other than marijuana and ultimately accepted the suspension from the NFL and did not file an appeal.

Ravens

  • Regarding the Ravens’ announcement that John Harbaugh will be back for the 2019 season, Jay Glazer believes Baltimore was trying to reassure Harbaugh that buzz of them moving on was not accurate while also sending the league message.
  • Glazer says that Harbaugh’s agent is planning to meet with the Ravens this week to work on a long-term deal.
