AFC Notes: Broncos, Chargers, Raiders, Texans

Broncos

• A Broncos contingent led by John Elway, Vance Joseph, Matt Russell and Brian Stark is watching USC QB Sam Darnold work out on Friday. (Mike Klis)
• Mike Klis reports that the Broncos visited Thursday with Ohio State LB Jerome Baker and BYU LB Fred Warner. The Broncos have also visited with Iowa’s Josey Jewell and Washington’s Keishawn Bierria, according to Klis.
• Iowa center James Daniels visited with the Broncos this week. (Mike Klis)
• The Rams released CB Kayvon Webster on Friday, which was a cap-driven move. Klis believes Webster would make sense for the Broncos, given that they’ve shown interest in cornerbacks this offseason and need special teams coverage guys.

Chargers

• According to Jordan Raanan, the Chargers signed QB Geno Smith to a one-year, $1 million contract that includes $200,000 guaranteed.

Raiders

• Michael Gehlken reports that Raiders special teams coordinator Rich Bisaccia privately worked out Texas punter Michael Dickson and Alabama’s J.K. Scott before they released Marquette King.

Texans

• Texas WR Armanti Foreman is scheduled to attend the Texans’ local prospect day on Saturday. (Aaron Wilson)
