AFC Notes: Browns, Ravens, Titans

Browns

  • Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com writes that if the Browns really like Western Michigan CB Sam Beal, who is considered to be the top Supplemental prospect in this year’s class, they have a good shot of landing him.
  • According to Cabot, Browns GM John Dorsey actually attended Beal’s Pro Day, which is a better clear indication that they’re interested in him.
  • Opinions vary on how high Beal will go. Many seem to think he should be a third-round pick, but in order to ensure that you get him, a team may have to use a second rounder.
  • Rob Rang of NFLDraftScout.com believes the Browns are “definitely” in play for Beal: “I think the Browns are definitely in play for Beal, but I feel strongly that third round, fourth round is where he goes. Given their offseason investment in the position, I don’t know if Beal has the immediate impact potential to warrant a third-round pick.”

Ravens

Ryan Mink of BaltimoreRavens.com take a look at the team’s offensive competition heading into training camp.

Titans

Former Titans RB DeMarco Murray mentioned in an interview with Adam Schefter on Monday that he believes¬†Derrick Henry can be “the guy” for Tennessee moving forward.

“I think Derrick’s a smart guy. He’s a fast guy, very physical, athletic, and now that I’m not there I think he can hone in on being the guy,” Murray said,¬†via Titans Wire. “And if they use him the right way and if he can consistently be the every down back, I think he has a great future, a bright future.”
