AFC Notes: Colts, Jaguars, Jets

Colts

The Colts made an interesting move by signing former Falcons CB Jalen Collins (NFLTR), who was just reinstated from a 10-game suspension, to their practice squad.

“It’s been a long, long time being out, being away from it,” Collins told reporters, per Kevin Bowen. “I just took some time for myself to get my head in a good place. The things I was struggling with, I put those things behind me.”

  • Zak Keefer says that the Colts view this as a very low-risk situation where they believe, with time, Collins can find a good spot and develop. Plus, they could use some help in their secondary.

Jaguars

Jaguars CB Jalen Ramsey stressed that he wants to play his entire career in Jacksonville.

“I’ve said multiple times, over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again that I want to play for one team my whole career,” Ramsey said, via ESPN.com.

Earlier in the week, Ramsey tweeted: “When I’m gone from here, y’all gone miss me. I ain’t even trippin lol

Jets

  • Rich Cimini expects the Jets to bid on RB Le’Veon Bell in free agency next year and notes that New York will have around $100 million of cap space to work with.
  • According to Cimini, Bell will likely be asking for $15 million – $17 million per year with $45 million guaranteed.
