AFC Notes: Colts, Jets, Texans

Colts

Colts backup QB Jacoby Brissett made it clear that he wants to be a starter in the NFL.

“I want to be a starter in this league,” Brissett said, via Mike Chappell of Fox 59. “If that’s what you’re asking me, yeah, I want to be a starter in this league.

“Everybody in this room wants to be a starter,” Brissett added. “Nobody wants to be a backup.”

Colts GM Chris Ballard said recently that he would need to be blown away by an offer to trade Brissett.

Regarding Ballard’s comments, Brissett said he knows he could spend another year in Indianapolis.

“I can’t complain about anything. I’m blessed,” Brissett said. “I’ve got a good job. I pay my bills. My family’s good. I’m good.

“To think of something that might happen in the near future would be stupid to be honest with you. I’m not going to do that.
