AFC South Notes: Colts, Leonard Fournette, Jaguars

Colts

Colts WR T.Y. Hilton said his hamstring injury felt better than he expected during Wednesday’s practice.

It felt better than I expected so I kept going … I hate being out, period,” Hilton said, per Kevin Bowen. “We need a win so I’ve got be out there.

Leonard Fournette

Jaguars HC Doug Marrone said there is a chance that RB Leonard Fournette returns from his hamstring injury for Week 7.

I think you get through today and then tomorrow you give it a shot and you pretty much know by then,” said Marrone, via John Oehser.

Marrone said the Jaguars must “get back to fundamentals” after suffering two consecutive losses.

Fundamentally, we have gotten away from some things and that is on us as coaches. … We have to get back to fundamentals. We have to stick with something that we can sink our teeth in and this way we can go out there and just perform,” said Marrone, via Oehser.

Jaguars

FA chief executive Martin Glenn says that Jaguars owner Shad Khan withdrawing his bid for Wembley stadium doesn’t mean the team won’t eventually have a home in London.

“He spent a lot of time and money, as did we, but something’s changed,” Glenn said, via James Olley of Evening Standard. “He has plenty of other options if he wants to [bring his NFL team] to London. Does he do a deal with Spurs? Does he do a deal with the Olympic Stadium?

“However, they do love playing at Wembley and we love having them. Within all this, we still want the Jags to play at Wembley. NFL income is important and the NFL are a great client in terms of the quality of events they bring. We are not giving up on a relationship with them but, right now, buying Wembley is not right for them.
