AFC South Notes: Jadeveon Clowney, Jaguars, Texans

Jadeveon Clowney

Texans OLB Jadeveon Clowney told reporters on Saturday that he’s ready to go following another offseason knee surgery.

“I’m ready,” Clowney said, via Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle. “I’m very excited. I’m looking forward to the season.

Clowney did not, however, whether he’ll be ready to take part in the team’s first training camp practice but he seemed confident and upbeat heading as they prepare for camp.

We have him featured in our Top 25 – 2019 NFL Free Agents list.

Texans RB D’Onta Foreman had put together a pretty good rookie season before suffering a ruptured Achilles tendon that led to him being placed on injured reserve.

“My whole thing is to keep working and not be complacent and not settle for last season,” Foreman said, via the Houston Chronicle. “Last season was good, but I want to be better than that and go higher and reach higher expectations for myself. That’s why I got to put last year behind me.”

Foreman added that he’s looking forward to making a full recovery and returning to the team.

I’m very excited,” Foreman said. “That’s the only thing that I’ve been working for, just trying to get back out there with my teammates. I miss being around those guys out there on the field and competing with those guys.

“I’ve been doing it on my own, competing with myself. But I’m ready to get back out there with them. When I do, I’ll give it my all and whatever that leads me.
