Oklahoma QB Baker Mayfield admitted that he could have done a better job of learning the Chargers’ playbook before meeting with them, but he says he was focused on other teams.

“I didn’t look at their playbook as much as a I should have,” Mayfield said, via SI.com. “It could have gone a little bit better . . . but at the same time, I’m prioritizing which playbooks I’m going to learn. No offense to them, but I’ve got a lot on my plate.

  • As part of his new restructured contract, Field Yates reports that the Chargers lowered DT Corey Liuget‘s base salary from $8.05 million to $935,000 for the 2018 season.
  • Luiget received $2.585 million in bonuses and gets the chance to earn other money in incentives.
  • Yates adds that Luiget’s salary cap figure has been reduced from $9.5 million to $5.02 million.
