Ahmad Bradshaw “Highly Unlikely” To Re-Sign With The Colts

Mike Wells of ESPN.com writes that the Colts are “highly unlikely” re-sign free agent RB Ahmad Bradshaw this offseason.

Wells adds that with Vick Ballard coming back from ACL surgery and Trent Richardson in the mix, it’s unlikely that Bradshaw would agree to be the team’s third-down back.

The Colts will also need to make a decision regarding Donald Brown who is also scheduled to reach the open market this March. Brown played well enough this past season to earn a multi-year contract, even if it’s not from the Colts.

Bradshaw, 28, was placed on season-ending injured reserve back in Week 3 with a neck injury. He finished the season with 186 yards rushing on 41 carries (4.5 YPC) and two touchdowns.

Last year, Bradshaw found very little interest in the free agent market due to concerns regarding his injured feet. It seems likely that he would be forced to once again sign a one-year deal.
