Alabama LB Reuben Foster Underwent Rotator Cuff Surgery, Won’t Participate In Combine Drills

Adam Caplan of ESPN reports that Alabama LB Reuben Foster recently underwent right rotator cuff surgery and is expected to require fourth months to recovery.

This, of course, means that Foster will not be able to participate in drills during next month’s NFL Combine, according to Caplan. Foster will, however, meet with teams in Indianapolis during the Combine.

Even so, Caplan says that Foster should be 100 percent healthy well in advance of the start of training camp in July.

Foster is considered to be the best inside linebacker prospect in the 2017 draft class and could possibly come off the board in the first 10 picks.

During his college three-year career at Alabama, Foster recorded 211 tackles, 23 tackles for a loss, seven sacks, and nine pass defenses over the course of 39 games.
