ESPN’s John Clayton reports that there are six NFL teams that have shown interest in recently released C Andre Gurode.

Gurode will be visiting with the Seattle Seahawks today so they’ve have the first shot at him. Seattle’s offensive line looks as terrible as every so adding anyone at that point would be an upgrade for them.

Considering number of teams that have already shown interest, you would expect Gurode to weigh his options before coming to agreement with a team.

ESPN Dallas’s Calvin Watkins and Todd Archer are reporting that the Cowboys have released veteran C Andre Gurode after they were unable to reach an agreement on a renegotiated contract.

Gurode, 32, was set to make $5.5 million in 2011 at the start of the season but Dallas felt that they were ready to move on if he didn’t agree to take a pay cut. The Cowboys have basically revamped their offensive line from a year ago as they’ve cut Gurode, Leonard Davis and Marc Colombo.

Earlier in the week rumors began to surface that the Dallas Cowboys were considering cutting C Andre Gurodebut an injury to Phil Costa changed all that.

Clarence E. Hill, Jr. of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports that the Cowboys will hold Gurode out of tonight’s game against Minnesota.

Jerry Jones referred to the move as a “business decision.” “We need to talk business — cap business, salary business,” Jones said.

Dallas will be on the hook for Gurode’s 2011 salary of $5.5 million if he’s still on the roster at the start of the season. From Jones’s comments, it appears that the Cowboys will try to get Gurode to take a pay cut or face being released.
